AUSTIN GIRLS’ CHOIR DAY CAMPS
June 4-8 and June 11-15

Our first camp runs June 4-8, and will be held 9-5 daily at a location soon to be announced. This program is open to singers age 8-16, beginner to advanced. Cost is $325 per child for girls not already enrolled in Austin Girls’ Choir. No audition is required, but a brief placement session will occur at the start of camp so as to include girls in skill-appropriate groups. Instruction includes vocal skills, note reading, basic harmony and fun songs with simple choreography. Guest artists will do one-hour sessions on various types of singing styles. Other camp activities will include skit-writing, stage presentation, and arts and crafts. An end-of-camp concert at 5 p.m. on June 8 lets the girls proudly share their accomplishments with friends and family. 45 places are available and will be filled as registration forms and payments are received.
Our second camp, to be held at the same location, runs 9-5 daily June 11-15, and is for highly advanced singers age 10-17. Cost is $325 per child for girls not already enrolled in Austin Girls’ Choir. An audition is required for any girl from outside the Choir wishing to participate in this challenging camp; the pace is rapid and expectations of each chorister are high. This session functions primarily as tour preparation for the group touring June 18-25, so tour music selections will be emphasized. (Please note that only AGC choristers who have paid for tour will participate in the concert tour.) We will have a few run-out performances during the week, and carpool assistance is warmly welcomed! Camp ends with a 5:30 p.m. concert on June 15. Due to space limitations, we can only accept 5 girls not currently enrolled in AGC for this session.
Lunch and afternoon snack are provided at both camps! We welcome girls to audition to join Austin Girls’ Choir on the last day of each camp. We look forward to another fun and inspiring pair of sessions!
